Banana Bread

1 ¾ C. Flour
½ tsp. salt
1 ¼ tsp. cream of tartar
½ to ¾ c. applesauce
¾ tsp. baking powder
¾ C. sugar
2 eggs beaten
2 ripe bananas mashed
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in the center of mixture. Combine wet ingredients; add to dry mixture, stirring until moistened. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

  1. This is a white, really sweet bread as opposed to the spicier bread made with cinnamon and nutmeg. My family liked it but I think we will try adding a few spices next time.
